Purposes

Data is used to respond to engagement inquiries, schedule scoping conversations, improve site clarity, and — where you consent — send occasional field notes. We do not sell personal data.

Retention

Inquiry messages are retained for up to 24 months unless an engagement begins, in which case records follow the retention periods in the engagement letter and professional requirements (often longer for audit working papers). Newsletter emails are kept until you unsubscribe. Server logs are typically rotated within 90 days.

User rights

Subject to Japanese law, you may request access to your personal data, correction of inaccuracies, deletion where retention is no longer required, and restriction of certain processing. Contact us at the address above. You may also lodge a complaint with the competent authority in Japan.

International transfers

Our primary operations and storage are in Japan. If a service provider processes data outside Japan (for example email hosting), we take steps appropriate under Japanese privacy rules, including contractual safeguards, before such transfers occur.
